Metropolitan Vladimir Leads Divine Liturgy in Zăicana Parish, Criuleni
Metropolitan Vladimir, Primate of the Orthodox Church of Moldova, celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Nativity of the Mother of God parish in the village of Zăicana, Criuleni district, on the feast day of Saint Luke the Apostle and Evangelist.
The Primate of the Orthodox Church of Moldova, His Beatitude Metropolitan Vladimir, celebrated the Holy and Divine Liturgy in the parish of "The Nativity of the Mother of God" in the village of Zăicana, Criuleni district. The service took place on Saturday, 31 October, on the day honoring Saint Luke the Apostle and Evangelist.
The Metropolitan was co-served by Most Reverend Nicolae, Bishop of Ceadîr-Lunga and vicar of the Eparchy of Cahul and Comrat, as well as by Protopresbyter Mitrophorus Vadim Cheibaș, secretary of the Metropolis. The presence of a vicar bishop and a protopresbyter from the central structure of the Metropolis shows the connection between the church leadership and the communities in the territory, in a rural parish in Criuleni district.
Saint Luke, in whose honor the service was held, is traditionally considered the evangelist and author of the third Gospel, as well as the Acts of the Apostles, and his feast day in the Orthodox calendar is a moment of prayer for communities that have him as their patron. The Saturday Liturgy thus brought the faithful of Zăicana together around a celebration that marks the life and mission of this saint.
The event was part of the regular program of visits and services that the hierarchs of the Orthodox Church of Moldova carry out in parishes across different districts of the country. The Metropolitan's presence in a rural locality gives the faithful the opportunity to participate directly in the Divine Liturgy, celebrated by the diocesan leadership, and to draw closer to the clergy of the church.
Information about the service was published on the "Moldova Ortodoxă" portal, which regularly reports on the activity of the hierarchs and parishes of the country's eparchies. The official account mentions only the participation of the clergy and the faithful in the service, with no other statements or public reactions from church authorities regarding the event.
